Terms of Service
Last updated: June 29, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Yunseul (윤슬). Yunseul is a small online community where Korean learners post short pieces of writing in Korean and receive instant AI corrections, and where members learn by reading other learners' posts and corrections.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Yunseul ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using Yunseul (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 14 years old to use Yunseul. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that you are able to enter into a binding agreement.
3. Your account
You sign in to Yunseul with your Google account. You are responsible for the activity that happens through your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. Please notify us at [email protected] if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the posts, corrections feedback, profile information, and other content you create on Yunseul ("Your Content"). You are responsible for what you post.
Because Yunseul is a public, shared community, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute Your Content for the purpose of operating, providing, and improving the Service — including showing your posts and their corrections to other learners in the public feed and on public profile pages. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for copies that other users have already shared or that we must keep to comply with the law.
Do not post content unless you have the right to share it, and do not include private or sensitive information you do not want to be public.
5. Acceptable use
To keep Yunseul a useful and welcoming place to learn, you agree not to:
- post unlawful, infringing, hateful, harassing, threatening, or sexually explicit content;
- spam, advertise, or post repetitive or automated content;
- impersonate others or post someone else's private or personal information;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
- abuse, game, or circumvent the AI correction limits or any other technical or usage limits; or
- use the Service for any purpose that is illegal or that harms other users.
We may remove content or limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
6. AI corrections
Yunseul uses automated AI to rewrite your sentences into more natural Korean and to explain changes. AI corrections are provided as a learning aid only. They may be incomplete or wrong, and they are not a substitute for a qualified teacher or professional review. You use AI corrections at your own discretion.
7. Changes to the Service
Yunseul is under active development. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may also update these Terms; when we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes may be communicated through the Service. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
8. Termination
You may stop using Yunseul and delete your account at any time from your profile settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. You can find out how account deletion affects your data in our Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI corrections will be accurate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yunseul will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Korea.
